Experimenting with Shan tea.

With the same raw material of ancient snow Shan tea, one can create different lines of products depending on the method of collection, fermentation techniques, processing technology as well as drying and brewing methods.

There are so many possibilities with tea and Hà An tea sees this as an opportunity to experiment – a promenade with tea, to which there are no limits.

Nature has blessed the mountain ranges of the East and Northwestern highlands of Viet Nam with an abundance of ancient Shan tea trees. Despite having been long in the tea industry, reaching more than 50 countries where tea is grown, coming to Vietnam and encountering the hundreds-years old Shan tea trees here has been an exceptional experience. And so, even though we come from a family with 6 generations of knowledge in tea crafting, there has still been so much to learn and experiment when it comes o abundance of ancient Shan tea trees found here in Viet Nam.

Being able to produce products that are stable in quality and introduce to the market tea lines such as Red tea, Bamboo shoot tea, Oolong Snow Shan, Oriental beauty, Honey Red tea or Green tea for Hà An has been a long and arduous journey to fully understand the raw materials on offer, the knowledge of the local communities and experimenting with different production methods. There have been many failed tea batches in a journey of ups and downs that have led Hà An Tea to where we are today, to reach a standard of quality that is deserving to be introduced to the market.

Living and breathing with tea, Hà An sees tea as a soulmate, a lifelong friend with whom, the longer the time spent together, the more valuable the qualities discovered and cherished. Therefore, every time the local villagers bring an ingredient from a new tea area of Hoàng Su Phì , from the Hồ Thầu, Nậm Ty, Chiêu Lầu Thi, Tây Côn Lĩnh ranges… it is a valuable opportunity for Hà An to cherish, to experiment and to create with an aim of achieving new tea products and with the hope of uncovering even more beauty of this ancient tea.

From white tea, royal tea to sun-dried tea, Hà An is still in the process of creating even more tea line products that we hope to be able to unveil in Spring 2022. Stay tuned!
